Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance worker with the potential to become the DPW Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal facilities maintenance, electrical work, sewer and water facility repair, read & install remote read water meters, grounds keeping experience, heavy equipment operation/maintenance, use e-mail communication, locate & order needed parts on-line and possess the ability to read schematics. Involves working in an outdoor environment while standing, bending, stooping, etc., plus working in confined spaces and lifting heavy supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical/plumbing repairs, and residential painting
- Weld and fabricate as needed for repairs
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to high-quality OSHA & MIOSHA standards

Experience
- Proficiency in English language

- Can use e-mail communications and internet part location and ordering

- Has or can obtain a CDL - A license
- Strong background in facilities maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and residential painting
- Has or can obtain a 5-3 Water License

Compensation

Starting Pay - $22.00 Per Hour with increase is promoted to DPW Supervisor

Additional Compensation

$2.00 - Per hour for Class A CDL

$2.00 - Per hour for Water Certification

$2.00 - Per hour for Welding Certification
